TrailManor
Screen Door Project

I'd seen this new TrailManor factory Screen Door option posted by a user on the TrailManor Owners Forum and thought I might try it.  I got it from my dealer, Dan Lange at Danny's Campers.  It took about 30 minutes to install.  I have yet to camp with it, but we'll find out how it does this weekend and after a few uses, I'll post some comments.  Thus far, I am not expecting too much from it, given the walk-through design and the fact that it does not self-close too well upon exiting the trailer.  But given the simplicity of installing it when opening up the trailer I think it will be worth having.

Incidentally, at the TrailManor Charter Chapter 2004 Summer Rally, I saw a homemade upper screen door.  It was made with a frame of square hollow aluminum stock.  That frame perfectly fit on top of the lower door half and filled the space where the upper door half would be.  Screwed onto the outside of this frame was a custom (kit) made screen and frame.  He used a couple of screws to secure the aluminum frame to the lower door half and a Velcro strap acted as a hinge at the top.  Very ingenious!

This was a pretty simple project that I hope turns out to be useful.
