We traveled to the Hayward, WI area to camp and to visit with Nancy's son Mike. The trip up and back went fine. The weather was poor all but the last day we were in WI but our visit to the area and with Mike was good. I did have a couple of boo-boos - one with the truck and one with the trailer. More information and pictures below.

| What a nice park! We had a nice site here. And man is this place big. | It rained every day we were here except the the last full day (Sunday). I tossed a batch of muffins in the oven and made a campfire! No way was I going to camp and not have at least one fire! So we ate muffins and drank coffee at 8 am around the campfire, all bundled up! It was still worth it. | Nancy, Mike, Emme and Ruby | Mike and Ruby |

| Nancy and Emme | A boat out on the lake | Same boat | The rig. Here we're at Country Roads Motorhome and RV Park. We needed a quick in/out place for an overnight. We've stayed here before and knew it would be perfect for our needs. We arrived at dusk and headed out around 8 am the next day. This was on our way up to Hayward. |

| The girls, looking out for Mom at a food stop. | Ruby and Emme resting on Mommy's lap. | Dash Dog! While at a rest stop, I put Emme on the dash to keep a lookout for Mommy! | Oops! I can do a good job of blame-shifting on this one but at the end of the day, I was at the wheel on this boo-boo. I think the bumper scratches will buff out well enough but the apron below the grill will have to be repaired and repainted. I plan to clean it up, put a coat of wax on it and wait until fall to have it repaired. In case anything else happens during camping season, I can have it fixed at the same time! |

Lake Chippewa Campground
Not sure how many camp sites they have on a huge amount of acreage but it has to
be hundreds. Most of them are nestled into the woods and a lot are right
on the lake. Consider staying at Lake
Chippewa Campground if you plan to come up this way.
We stayed on pull-through site 96 on this trip.
