Egg and Sausage Casserole
This egg and sausage casserole dish bakes up as a hearty breakfast or even dinner
entree.
Ingredients
- 1 dozen eggs
- 4 cups milk (any fat content)
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound sausage (cooked, drained and rinsed of grease)
- 1 20 ounce loaf white bread, cubed (no heels and crust removed)
Steps
- In a large bowl, add eggs and beat slightly with a whisk
- Add milk, mustard, salt and pepper and stir mixture
- Add bread cubes and sausage and stir mixture
- Pour mixture into a greased 9" x 13" cake pan
- Refrigerate overnight to allow mixture to setup
- Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before baking
- Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 60 minutes or until mixture is set and top is
browned
