Meat Balls
Nancy got this recipe from her Aunt Cork. Easy to make
recipe. No pan frying here.
Ingredients
Meat Balls:

2 pounds ground beef |
 |
2 cups corn flakes (crushed) |
 |
1/3 cup dried parsley flakes |
 |
2 eggs |
 |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
 |
1 teaspoon garlic salt |
 |
1/3 cup ketchup |
 |
2 tablespoons minced onions |
Sauce:
 |
16 ounce can cranberry sauce |
 |
12 ounce bottle chili sauce |
 |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
 |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
 |
1 teaspoon garlic salt |
 |
1/3 cup ketchup |
 |
2 tablespoons minced onions |
Steps
- Spray bottom of 9"x13" cake or lasagna pan with cooking spray
preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- In a medium saucepan, combine sauce ingredients and begin to cook over
medium heat, stirring occasionally
- In a large mixing bowl, combine meat balls ingredients and mix thoroughly
by hand
- Roll into 1" balls and arrange in pan
- Pour warm, melted sauce over meatballs
- Place in oven and bake for about 35 minutes
- Half way through cooking, remove pan from oven and carefully mix meatballs
in sauce to recoat them. Rearrange them and continue baking
Tips
- Use a cookie dough dropper to scoop out meat mixture to form uniform sized
meat balls
- Cook a few hours ahead of serving, then reheat in microwave, oven (covered
this time) or on low in a crock pot
- May be refrigerated for a few days after cooked, prior to serving
Makes about 24 meat balls
