Mobile Internet Solution

Below is my  Mobile Internet Solution

Current configuration: Wanting a more robust and faster connection as my primary means of Internet connectivity, I moved to an EV-DO cellular protocol AirCard and a mobile router/WAP - details below.

Previous configuration: I am now using a Xenarc Technologies Mobile PC in my truck.  At this time, I connect to the Internet using open public Wi-Fi networks and by using my Treo650 Smartphone as a wireless modem.  I've been experiencing inconsistent usability of Proxim and Buffalo Wi-Fi cards in the PC card slot of my Xenarc PC.

Potential: With an always-on, speedier Internet connection, I have added an IP camera, I upload GPS coordinates to an omline Google map and I have web and email capability.

Current research: I am considering a camera upgrade and I am looking at higher-end IP based units.

Here's the gear I'm using now:

Junxion Box WWAN Mobile Router

Sprint branded Sierra Wireless 580 EV-DO AirCard for use with Junxion Box

Wilson Cellular Dual Band Magnetic Mount Antenna for use with Sierra Wireless 580 EV-DO AirCard

Wilson Pigtail / Adapter for Wilson Cellular Antenna for use with Sierra Wireless 580 EV-DO AirCard

HyperLink Technologies 2.4 GHz Antenna for Wi-Fi

RF Industries SMA-Male to N-Female Adapter for Wi-Fi Antenna for use with Junxion Box WiFi Antenna Port
