Jim and Nancy’s Place in Cyberspace

Well, it’s the last day of the Midwest RV Super Show and Rally
We had a good time. Not much of a rally really. Just a good excuse to use the RV. Works for me!
So I’ve spent 6 nights here at the in the north west campground of the Elkhart County 4H Fairgrounds in Goshen, Indiana. Nancy and the girls have spent the last 3 nights with me They go back tonight after dinner. I’ll be here one more night, heading home Monday. Some RVers have pulled out already. Our friends from Ohio, the Comers, will be heading out this morning.
Only a few more days until our next RV event - woo hoo! Rallying in Springfield, IL. Look out Mr. Lincoln - here we come.

Look at this little peanut of a poodle. I met this woman at the Elkhart (Indiana) Campground and she had just gotten this little guy. Hardly a handful - yet!

At the home of my friends’, Steve and Melanie, we had a nice breakfast in their beautiful back yard. Their dogs Booper and Foxy got along great with Ruby. Fun times in my home town!

I made a rather impromptu stop in my home town of Fort Dodge, Iowa on my way back to Chicago from Gillette, Wyoming. I missed the 4th of July parades but I was able to catch the Fireworks in Otho with my Mom, Johnnie and Joey at Janice Marie’s home. She had patio furniture all setup in the driveway and the location was perfect! I had my Mom, Johnnie, Joey, my friends Steve and Melanie and their kids plus grandkids, Marshall and Mandy. We had a nice cookout at the RV. Fun-fun! Wish I could have stayed a couple days longer as I just can’t make it to Iowa as often as I’d like to see friends and family.

When Nancy went to France for work, her friend Alice watched Emme and took Ruby with me to Wyoming. Here’s a picture of the pen I setup at Alice’s for Emme. Ruby promptly jumped in and assumed the position. Emme, outside the pen is not so sure.

At Heartland, in my new position, I have a great cadre of unpaid staff members.  Below are my newest recruits.  On the right is Ruby.  She’s the Office Manager.  She is the old wise one.  On the left is Emme (Emerald).  She is the Office Clerk.  She does what Ruby tells her to do.
